It hurts in there,
to know that India's daughter died.
It hurts in there,
to know that no one cares.
It hurts in there,
to know that my motherland cant protect me.
It hurts in there,
to know that my country is not a true democracy.
It hurts in there,
to know that the culprits are loose and enjoying a life.
It hurts in there,
to know that the government is not taking any action.
It hurts in there,
to know that tomorrow it could be me or my friends.
It hurts in there.
It hurts in there.
My first attempt on a poem on the crises that India is facing now. Please comment....

The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards
This stunning novel begins on a winter night in 1964, when a blizzard forces Dr. David Henry to deliver his own twins. His son, born first, is perfectly healthy, but the doctor immediately recognizes that his daughter has Down's syndrome. For motives he tells himself are good, he makes a split - second decision that will haunt all their lives forever. He asks his nurse, Caroline, to take the baby away to an institution. Instead, she disappears into another city to raise the child as her own. Compulsively readable and deeply moving, The Memory Keeper's Daughter is a brilliantly crafted story of parallel lives, familial secrets, and the redemptive power of love.
The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Well...I started reading this book only because I didnt have any other book and I had to pass my time in my holidays. I thought when I borrow the next book from my library or buy a new book from the bookstore, I'll leave this book to be read some other time.
But when I started reading it, I got so engrossed in it that I had to take this book to some functions and read them there!
Even when I borrowed a book from the library, I didnt feel like reading this book some other time.
The first part gets a bit boring when its all about Dr. David Henry and his wife waiting for the nine months to get over and thinking about the days when they first met.
The story is set in the years from 1964 to 1989. In these twenty - some years, Kim Edwards is able to tell the different lives each and every character leads in the story and the story of two families together: The family of Dr. David Henry and the family of his nurse, Caroline Gill.
As the story keeps on getting deeper, it keeps on getting more interesting. Edwards tells the readers what goes on in the minds of the teenagers.
Overall, the book is really interesting with a pinch of tragedy, even though it ends in a happy note. My advice to everyone who will read this book will be that read it when you are totally free and nothing else is nagging you at the back of your mind. As you need full concentration to enjoy this book. And to enjoy this book will be like experiencing heaven itself.

Catching Fire by Suzzane Collins (Part 2 of the Hunger Games)

My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Well...I'll repeat it. Everyone says this trilogy is tragedy. Infact, there is no tragedy in it. If I was asked to give marks judging on the tragedy in it, I would like to give it 1 star. But, judging on the book, overall, it wasnt that bad.
There were parts I liked, and parts I resented, but (I think it was luck) I kinda liked the book.
I dont remember much about the book and Im trying to remember so that I can write this review, but even if I dont write it properly, please forgive me. I'll try to write reviews just after I finish the book. So...if you think you liked The Hunger Games No.1, and just want to know what will happen, please read the second part.
I would also like to add its not up to the standards.

Artemis Fowl - The Arctic Incident by Eion Colfer
Who doesnt know Eion Colfer? Everyone knows about him! Atleast who've read his famous series, Artemis Fowl does. And Im one of them. Well, I came to know about him when I read the one-liner reviews in the Percy Jackson books. I am a great fan of Greek mythology and when I saw that he was the author of 'Artemis Fowl' I thought it was something to do with Artemis and her gang. My friend also told me its a good book.
When I picked up this book from my library, I knew there is nothing to do with Artemis and her gang. I picked up the book and started reading it.
Well, you have to know what happened in the first book to follow this book properly, but its not a necessity. I always read series in any order.
This book needs to be read from the first book to understand the first scene of the book. If you just keep on reading it, without reading the first part, well...you'll be confused in the starting and throughout the book will become a one book and not a series.
Maybe, just maybe, even this is somewhat like the TimeRiders. Maybe every book is a book in itself and a key to a bigger door?
After reading the whole series only can I find out what the truth is. So wait for the heading to read "Artemis Fowl - ___________ by Eion Colfer"!

Time Riders - The Eternal War by Alex Scarrow

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I'll like to be straightforward. I realized it in this book that Alex Scarrow was trying to warn us what could happen to us after fifty years if we didnt take care of our environment right now. In this book, Abraham Lincoln comes into the future. The plot is always the same, but the way there is a bigger secret to these series, which is revealed in The City of Shadows (I've not read it yet), makes it all the more interesting. Alex Scarrow realizes that if he continues with one or the adventure in every book, without a deeper secret, this book will go down and it will not be popular and will be read by nine year old kids when he wants older people to read it. After all its a YA novel. This keeps me going. I thought of leaving the book, but this secret stopped me. The way he puts the text, which will come where, attracts the attention also. That's the best part. He starts with different stuff. If he would start with the same thing, it would get so boring, no one would like to read it. He has brains, just like his brother, Simon Scarrow. People read it, enjoy it and tell me how you liked it!

Mangalore Air Crash Similarity
It was a Sunday and I was sitting in my room with a friend of mine. Suddenly we saw clouds of smoke emerging from the airport near my house. Mona and me looked at each other and, without any words, ran out of the house, took our scooters and rushed to the airport.
The first hurdle came our way. The policemen were not letting us in as much as we begged. We went on our knees and begged him, but he still didnt budge. We went on the point to bribe him when he gave up, sighed and let us in. We ran inside, screaming our thank you's. The airport seemed not at all to be touched by the happenings of the plane. We went straight to the staircase and to the security check in, which was our next hurdle.
We went inside the cubicle together and begged the policewoman there to let us through, but even she was stubborn. And much more stubborn than the policeman outside. We begged and begged, but we didnt get any results. I saw only one way through this. I got up and asked the policewoman, "Do you know who we are?" She shook her head. I took Mona's hand. "Will you be able to recognize us again?" At this she went in deep thought and I found my chance. I pulled Mona's hand and screamed, "Run!" And both of us started running towards our third hurdle, which was the gates. We darent look back as we were scared on what we would encounter.
We came to the gates and rushed right through and ran to the plane. We went there and saw the condition. I hesitated before going in, but Mona ran in without a second thought and I saw her getting an injured man outside. I rushed in and covered my eyes. There was smoke all around and the fire was making it difficult to see. I spotted a child struggling with his seat belt. His parents were dead and I opened his seat belt, took him in my arms and rushed out. I handed him over to the ambulance and, out of the corner of my eye, saw Mona rushing in.
There was a blast as another fuel tank burst. I turned around instantly and only one word slipped out of my mouth which was... "Mona..." I rushed in and got up sweating.
I was sweating badly and I tried to catch my breath from the dream-no nightmare-I just had. I looked up and saw my curtain on fire from the candle I had forgotten to blow out last night. I took a pillow, covered my face, fell on the bed and screamed "Aw man!" I lazily got up, got a bucket of water and put out the fire.

The Distance by Saborna Roychowdhury

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
You can make it out by the author that the book is written by an Indian. Sometime back I was asked how many Indian authors' book have I read. My answer was none. I felt that the novels written by Indian authors would be inferior to those which I read; I will not enjoy the book thoroughly like I enjoy other writers. Well, I was wrong.
When I read this book, I felt home. Indian authors use words which only Indians can understand and relate to. That thought warms me. Indians have a better understanding about what is going on in the head of the author. They can easily picture the scene and relate to it. They can understand the pain of the characters because its the same pain their fellow Indians suffer from. When writers mention corruption, they know what they are talking about because they have experienced that corruption. When, outside India, Indians put India down, they know why are they doing so, and sometimes their feelings may be hurt. India maybe corrupt, it may suffer from the status of developing, it may suffer from poverty, illiteracy, harassing, abusing, etc. But its our motherland. We cannot stand it, nor can we stay away from it. That is what this book tries to tell us. India can never be underestimated' it can never be ill treated by anyone, be it another fellow Indian. So when you read this book, you will know what Im talking about and you will see your brothers' and sisters' life reflect in three characters. It will be unspoken for you. You will know what to do after you read the book.
((Im not criticizing any other author or country by writing this review.))

Hunger Games by Suzzane Collins
In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.
Sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her younger sister's place in the games. But, Katniss has been close to dead before - and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
The first thing I would like to tell is that this book was supposed to give us a tragedy, not a happy ending. Everyone knows, that the protagonist cant die, so to give tragedy Suzzane Collins could have killed Peeta. This book would have got one star, if not for the moments and days Katniss spends with Peeta and the number of sacrifices they both make. Also, the part where Katniss and Rue come together even if they are from different districts. Suzzane Collins has also got Haymitch helping these people in a time it would be a real tragedy to fend for themselves. I have heard from my friends that this book is a real tragedy and I would love it because of the genre I prefer. But, to tell frankly, I thought this was a waste of time (no money because I borrowed this book. Thank God!) In the starting I didnt want the book to get over, but as I started to come to the end, I really wished the book was over and I finished it and slept last night. Also, this book felt as if it was being written in the past than in the future. Everytime something happened which couldnt happen in the past, I had to remind myself it was happening in the future and even the gadgets were really old for a book which is based so much in the future. I am sorry Hunger Games lovers, that is how I feel.
I will continue reading Catching Fore and Mockingjay to see what is in store for Katniss and Peeta, even though I thought the book could have more.

Time Riders-Day of the Predator by Alex Scarrow
When Maddy mistakenly opens a time window where and when she shouldnt have, Liam is marooned sixty five million years in the past in the hunting ground of a deadly - and until now - undiscovered species of predators.
Can Liam make contact with Maddy and Sal before he's torn to pieces by dinosaurs - and without endangering history so much that the world is taken over by a terrifying, new reality?
Got this book in my club library. I sooooo wanted to read this book!
Um....lets see...The book was a book with teenagers running around in time. Ok fine. The storyline was, like, in every book these three teenagers, Maddy, Sal and Liam would get into a tricky situation which they will get out of.
When, I first read the back of the book, I thought this is book is, like, in every book there will be one or the other adventure. I was tempted not to read the book. But, I continued, anyways, and I actually liked the book. The way these people end up in the past and the way they survive.
The book was awesome! It had a species of dinosaurs and stuff, whose fossils are not yet found, but, these small guys attack the group and all and its just...cool. The way my eyes used to widen whenever I used to read about this, 65 million years BC, and the way my eyes used to widen when Maddy and Sal did unexpected things to get Liam and the others back. There were two time waves, and how one became incomplete, but, still, everything was good.
I would say, if you are a fan of sci-fic, this book is really great. Travelling through time is a really great invention, or, was a really great invention in the book. The book also brought out what could go wrong in the future years, if we didnt take care of our environment. Alex Scarrow is indirectly telling his readers that we could really be in trouble.
The only thing I regretted was that I could trace his movements. He moves really like his brother, Simon Scarrow. And, I, read Simon Scarrow's book, Fight for Freedom it really made me think of what he would do next in his book and, almost, all the times I was correct.(less)

Warriors of Ethandun by N.M Browne
Well, the book was good. I will not say very good, but good. It was a bit confusing and boring. The part when the battle starts was the only part I liked the most in the book. I was a bit worried for Dan and Ursula as they were placed nicely. When Ursula was in control of Finna's mind, that part hurt the most. I got bored when Ursula was taken captive. And, as I told, the part of the battle was best, It was really sad when Ursula was forced to put fire on Aelfred's men. I didnt exactly want the book to end in a happy ending. But, there was something sad in the last...That touched me most and, that is why I will say, the book was really good.
I picked it up in my library in a hurry. It was a good book, as I said above. Not a bad choice though. I liked the book, didnt love it, as I normally write for such types of books.

Blood Water by Dean Vincent Carter
Dr. Morrow found something in the water. He doesnt know what it is, but he's seen what he can do. And now its missing....
The town is on flood alert and everywhere people are trapped by the deluge. But there's something out there far more dangerous - and the death toll will rise along with the waters unless it is destroyed.
Picked it from my library. Was a very good choice... Review follows down.

I will jump to the review. This book was great! It was a thin book so I finished it in one hour. I started it at 12.00 in the morning and finished it at 1.00. In this one hour, the book had me! Everytime, something unexpected happened, I would grip my bedsheetes in fear and when that thing would pass and I would come to know what happened, if it was bad, I would shake my head as if I was very sorry, and if something good happened, I would let out a sigh of relief. At one time in the book, Mr Titus comes out of the cupboard with the creature in his mouth suddenly and I screamed into the night! The book was a real horror book. I couldnt take my hands off the book even once. There was a lot of suspicion in the book and not the type where you are so frustrated with so much suspicion that you dont care what it is. That type of suspicion where you are really dying to know what is the character hiding from the others and the creature. The way Carter describes the victims of the creature getting killed is sick.... I dont want to reveal it. For horror fans They would love to read the book, but for others they would vomit if they saw the cover, thinking of what I wrote. Well, there has to be some sick stuff in horror books or it will not be a horror book. So, horror fans, if you decide to take this book, you are in for something really exciting.

Literature Club Secretary!!!
I didn't know such a good news would come for me within two months of joining school. The title says it all.... I am the Secretary for the Nitte International School Literature Club!!! The President is, my school mate (obviously) and a person who lives in my apartment, called Prateek. He is also the head-boy of our school, and I am very sure that everyone in the Literature Club is proud to have a President like him. He is also my friend's brother.
My friends have also got a chance to be the Presidents and Secretaries of various clubs. I am very proud for them and I hope they will do their duty well. But, I am very excited and proud that I became the Secretary of such a prestigious club in our school and I got a very good impression on all the teachers and the students of my school.
Wish me luck, guys!!!

The Demon Girl by Penelope Fletcher
Rae Wilder has problems.... Supernatural creatures swarm the earth, and humanity is on the brink of extinction. Stalked by a handsome fairy who claims she is like him, demonkind, Rae thinks maybe it was a mistake breaking the rules by going over the Wall into demon territory. Plunged into a world of dark magics, fierce creatures, and ritual sacrifice, she is charged with a guarding a magical amulet. The changes to her mind and body are startling, but rather than accept her purpose she struggles against who she is destined to be. Throw in a big lust for a vampire who can't keep his hands off her, and life starts to get complicated. Rae is forced to make the ultimate choice: to live and die human, or embrace her birth-right and wield magics that could turn her into something wicked, a force of nature nothing can control.
This book was actually an ebook. I found it on goodreads. I saw ebooks and wanted to see what ebooks were there. When I saw the name of the book, I thought it will be good. I rayed it three stars. The review follows down...
The Demon Girl by Penelope Fletcher
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I expected more from this book. When I read the back cover, I thought this book must be good. Even the title sounded promising. But what I got was a girl coming to know that she was a fairy and she had a bond with another fairy and she fell in love with a vampire. This a series, I know, but in a 191 page book the large scale plot was just this much. To the larger plot I have given 1 star. The other 2 stars were taken by the small scale plot. The small scale plot was much better. At least, there was some action in it. Devlin wanted the necklace and the whole story was on how he got it or did not get. (Im not revieling that)There should have been something else. Penelope Fletcher has left me with no choice but to take the other books in the series as I really want to know whathappened to Rae.
I would like to end now. Penelope Fletcher has written the book nicely but she could add more content to the first book.

The Fourth Estate by Jeffery Archer
At first glance, Richard Armstrong and Keith Townsend seemed to have little in common. One was the son of an illiterate peasant, who emerged from the most backward corner ravaged by a bitter war. The other was raised in a mansion on the far side of the world while the war was just another piece of news.
One was a hustler, a theif, ready to change his story, even his identity, if it would gain him a momentary advantage. The other was the scion of a well known family, groomed for a public role from his earliest years, a rebel who didnt care if any approved of what he got up to,
One craved wealth, recognition, status. The other quickly discovered that real power comes from anonymity. But, they did have one thing in common. Both of them were gamblers. Both were prepared to risk everything in their battle to control the biggest newspaper empire in the world.
Only one of them could triumph....
I got this book when I was searching in the attic for some books to sell to earn pocket money. As, I really wanted to read Jeffery Archer so I thought I'll start with this book. I must say that jeffery Archer's style suits only adults. But, that will not stop me form reading more of his books, partly because they show reality, and partly because you cant let go of the book.
The book was good. I cant say great because I found some parts boring. When Archer tells the life-story of the two rivals, it is boring. But, when he comes to the main part, it starts to get interesting. In the end, though, he repeats the first part. The story says about two newspaper barons, who are rivals. Both of them want to be the richest person in the world, but both of them come in the same amount of debt from the same bank. One has someone to guide him, the other doesnt know what to do. Ofcourse, when he cheats on his wife. Both of them have trouble. But, one of them survives this. You enjoy the book thoroughly when their rivalry starts, and the best part is, you wouldnt even know when their rivalry will start!! When they are rivals, you will flip back pages to see where is it written about their rivalry. You wont find it, and you wont feel like reading the book, but when you come back to the present book, the situation is so intense that you will not be able to leave the book. If I had to conclude this review in one sentence then I would say: "Awesome, great, fantastic, energising, proper book!!!"

Empire of the Moghul - Ruler of the World by Alex Rutherford
Akbar, the third great ruler of the glorious Moghul dynasty, is everything an emperor should be. He commands two - thirds of the Indian subcontinent and a hundred million subjects. His reign begins bloodily in 1556 and he soon proves himself to be brave, ruthless and supremely confident.
However, within the astonishing splendour of the Moghul dynastylies a fatal flaw. Any of the emperor's sons can inherit so Moghul princes become as bloodthirsty and secretive as their fathers. And as Akbar's eldest son, Salim, reaches manhood, this will surely spell trouble....
Ruler of the World is the third book in the gripping and brilliant Empire of the Moghul series; an epic tale of great wars and great sacrifises - and of an unparralleled dynasty that carries within it the unruly seeds of its own destruction.
This book was just great. In our history text books, we come to know only about the outer points of the rulers' life. How that person had his administration, what changes did he put on his followers, what were the taxes removed or added, ect., In this book you come to know about these people's personal life, through a fictious way. Suppose, Salim and Khusrau's rivalry was not highlited in our chapter. But, in this book, I came to know that Khusrau and Salim were fighting to be Akbar's successors. Well, we know that Jahangir i.e Salim got to be the King, so that ultimately means that Khusrau loses and rebels against his father, as we all know. We didnt know that, at first, Khusrau was very close to his father and broke away from him only when his father was starting a rebillion against his father. I dont know how many people ot there know that Abul Fazl was mudered, but I didnt know, and was shocked when I came to know.
Like this, the book keeps on unwinding the personal life of two rulers and one rebel. Its a good read and I am sure anyone who reads it will enjoy it.
All in all, this was a good book. At first I was dissapointed, when I came to know that Empire of the Moghul is a series and this is the third book in the series, but, when I read it, I could read it as if this was the first book in the series! The first book is Raiders of the North, which is about Timur and Babur, and the second book is Brothers at War, which is about Humayun and the early life of Akbar, stopping just before the First Battle of Panipat.

White Heat by K. M. Grant
Raimon has escaped the pyre and carried the blue flame to the mountains to unite his people against invasion. Besieged by the Cather White Wolf and the Catholic Aimery, his strenght begins to fail. Will his beloved Occitan and his love for Yolanda survive the King's army, gathering in the north?
Well, after Death of Kings, this book lightened my mood. It lightened the anger brewing inside me for having wasted my time on Death of Kings. It got me wondering if all had been otherwise, like every good book does.
This is the second book in the Perfect Fire Trilogy. The next book, which is the last book, is Paradise Red and I really want to read it. The first book is Perfect Fire and I want to read that too.
Getting back to the second book. I didn't sleep all night reading this book! I just couldn't keep it down. The suspense at every page which K. M. Grant has woven on every page is just beautiful. She has woven it so indirectly that the reader doesn't even come to know its suspense. Another reason was that I was fed up of happy endings and heroes winning all the time. This book gave way to tragedy, to real life, not to fantasy. Does a person, who is starved to death, wants to protect the Blue Flame (for instance) and for that he will fight like some two thousand soldiers single - handed? No. That is not reality. Well, if it would happen like that I wouldn't be disappointed but I would have been a bit bored.
*Yolanda gets sold off by her brother to *Hugh des Arcis and Aimery sells Amouroix to France. And *Aimery does all this so that he could be safe not his people.
At last, all hopes are lost as even their friends go into the enemy camp. At last, *Yolanda has to go back with *Hugh and *Aimery and *Raimon, thought they hate each other to the core, have to take the same side so as to save Occitan and their lives.
Now, if Yolanda comes back to Raimon or if Occitan is not captured by the French, we will only come to know in the third and the last book.
This is the perfect book I have ever read. I dont see any mistakes in it. The character K. M. Grant has chosen for herself is the lands itself, which is so very clever and the way she narrates it also is simple shocking.
Warning: Once you pick up this book and start reading it, you will not feel like putting it down.
*These are all the characters of the book and you will come to know who they are by reading the book.

Death of Kings by Philip Gooden
London, 1601, and Elizabeth I is nearing the end of her reign with no direct heir. Plots and rumours of rebellion abound. The Queen's former favourite, the Earl of Essex, appears to be eager to protect the throne - but some believe he intends to seize it.
In the theatre world, the Chamberlain's Men are approached by a member of Essex's inner circle. He offers them money to put on a special performance of Shakespeare's Richard II - the treasonous drama of monarchy deposed and murdered. And player Nick Revill finds himself forced to act as a government spy and keep watch on his own company. His secret works earns him enemies, and then the murders start.....
Seriously, there is no murder in this book. My review is going to be totally negative. So, I would advice you all not to read it. This is the only book I didnt like. This book made me very angry. If only I had known! I wouldnt have wasted my time on it.
Anyway, this book contains a lot of suspence. Everywhere there is suspence. There should have been only the suspence at the end, not in the beginning. Philip Gooden did not explain some parts of the book and jumbled up other parts. Some parts were also predictable.
This book was a serious disaster. There is no murder. Its more of a mystery. There is a lot of suspence in the book and that makes it boring. There are like only two murders. There should have been only the suspense at the end, not in the between. I couldnt even understand half of the book. Its all jumbled up. There are parts which are not needed and parts which are not good in a murder book.
Well, Nick Revill earns only one enemy. And I dont know how does he earn him also. I dont know what does Philip Gooden want to tell through this book or what this book is about. Its all so jumbled up. I was literally waiting for this book to get over. I really dont know what to say, so I would like to conclude with :
All in all I hated this book.

Songs Composed by Us in Yours Truly
Yesterday, in Theatre Class, we composed some songs. First, we were put in teams and we could choose any song and sing it. Then, we had to compose our own song. In the first song, we mixed four songs to make one song. The second song was a bit comedy and about angels.
The first song:
The sun goes down
The stars come out
And all that counts
Is here and now
My universe
Will never be the same
Im glad you came
Im glad you came
Humne tumse mohabbat ki hain
Oh janneman
Do you know?????? (A bit of tuning)
But Im only gonna break break your
break break your heart.
Im only gonna break break your
break break your heart.
But, baby tonight, the DJ got us falling in love again
Baby, tonight, the Dj got us falling in love again.
So dance dance like its the last last time of your
life life, tonight.
Cuz, baby, tonight the DJ got us falling in love again.
The first song is Glad You Came sung by THE WANTED. The second song is from a hindi movie HOUSEFUL 2. The third song is Break Your Heart sung By TAIO CRUZ. The last song is The DJ Got Us Falling In Love Again. Im not sure who sung it. I think it is JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE.
The second song was composed by us. (Only the lyrics. The tuning was from Glad You Came.)
The sky is so high
The angels are so high.
With a golden tiara on their head,
They never wear red.
They spend their time using Idea 3G
And talking about their lives to the dadajis.
Have you ever wondered
What you will say to them
When they came to you?
"Im Glad You Came."
"Im Glad You Came."
The sky is so high
The angels are so high.
With a golden tiara on their head
They never wear red.
Have you ever wondered
What you will you say to them
When they come to you?
"Im Glad You Came."

Lunch
I am writing after some time because I wanted to finish Voyager. But, I just shifted to my new house and my new school is starting from 4th of June and so I have a lot to do. But that doesn't mean that I'm a total geek and I only studied these holidays. Ya I studied a lot. After all I'm going to eight, but I participated in a badminton coaching camp and got many friends. I also reduced a few kilos.
When the camp was getting over, all of us decided that we will go for lunch in the club. We were eight people: Namita, Nikitha, Juhi, Sharan, Gaurav, Nandan, Preksha and me.
We went in the canteen, only to find that the canteen was closed.
Gotcha! It was a normal day there. Everybody were going about their business and we kids were going about ours. Laughing and joking and talking as if there was no worry in the world. We ordered some starters like paneer tikka, chicken lollipop and chicken tikka. We had roles. Juhi would decide, I would calculate and Nandan would pay. As it was our club, he would give the card and it would add up in his account. All of us were so excited and talking continuously, except Gaurav. He was so quite. But he ate most of the food! He didn't talk much but the excitement was being showed on his face. So, Gaurav, I'm a very good observer. Never underestimate me!
We ordered some juices and soft drinks and started prank calling people. It was fun. I just listened. I didn't give any numbers, though.
For main course, we ordered egg fried rice, noodles and manchurian. We ate all that very seriously and I really don't know why.
For dessert, we ordered some ice creams and kulfi. Totally the bill summed up to Rs. 1196. Nandan was paying the bills so we had to give him the money. So all of us had to give him Rs. 149.5, exactly. That is Rs. 150. So he got Rs. 4 extra. Lucky person. I would do anything to get even four rupees.
We had planned to go for swimming, but our badminton class got over at 1 o'clock and at that time, the swimming pool gets closed and that is why that plan got canceled. Well we had fun for lunch and that's what counts!

Half Moon Investigations by Eion Colfer
Meet Fletcher Moon. Half-pint schoolboy and fully qualified private investigator. Since graduating online, he has solved all sorts of minor mysteries at school and at home. It was only a matter of time before things got serious...
These are strange days in the town of Lock. There has been a spate of odd crimes, including the theft of something belonging to one April Devereux. Fletcher investigates -and the finger of suspicion is soon pointing firmly in the direction of the notorious Sharkey brothers, Herod and Red.
It looks like an open and shut case.
But nothing is quite as it seems. And, as Fletcher delves deeper, its not long before the hunter becomes the hunted...
As we can expect of Eion Colfer, this book is great for teens. Its all detective work and how Fletcher finds him wrapped up in a bigger mystery.
Again, we see expect something and something else happens. Only a person with very good brains can track what will happen next. I tried my best, but couldnt track it properly. It has a lot of ups and downs.
I dont know what to tell about this book. Its just amazing. All the detective work and gettifng hurt does pays off in the end for Fletcher.
Eion Colfer has really left me speechless about this book. You take the book and read it and you will come to know what I mean.

The Death Relic by Chris Kuzneski
Vanquished by the Spanish Empire, little remains of the Aztec and Mayan civilization. From the ashes of their cities, a unified legend emerges: the Christians who conquered them possessed a mysterious object, an artefact so powerful - so deadly - that it was known through out the Americas as 'the Death Relic.'
When Maria Pelati's research team disappears in Mexico, Jonathan Payne and David Jones embark on a perilous mission to find the missing archaeologists. The duo quickly finds a link between the group's work and its recent disappearance. Following the clues left behind, they try to solve one of the darkest mysterious of the New World, but their quest for the relic might cost them their lives.
This book is actually for adults. I took this book because I thought that I would get some knowledge about History, and get knowledge I did. I came to know so much about the Mayan civilization. I came to know that the Spanish were the first Europeans to step on American soil and capture the Mayan and Aztec civilization.
I think this is happening because I'm a kid, but I didn't understand some parts of the book.
There were many stories in the book and all of them were clubbed together to form one story. Ultimately, they have to find the treasure of the Mayan and Aztec civilization hidden somewhere in Mexico.
The storyline is cool. From archaeology to kidnapping. From Italy to Mexico. From finding to being played. From job to interest. Bloodshed, ruining, strategy. Everything is cool.
Being a book for adults, I enjoyed every page of the book. The plot keeps on changing and when the plot changes and Kuzneski tries to put the whole thing together, it comes out perfectly.
So, if Chris Kuzneski stumbles on my blog and happens to read this post, I would like to tell him that he has written this book beautifully.
But, every book has its bad points also. I have seen that Kuzneski has dragged this book long to make it a fat novel.
People who hate bloodshed, beware. This book has a lot of bloodshed.
People who hate it if they are proved wrong, beware. This book can prove you wrong many times.
Its like something is happening and we think that "Ok. This is gonna happen next." and suddenly everything changes and we come to know that what we thought will not happen but this will happen.
For example, When Maria had gone to meet her boss, Hamilton and he told her that he will come back, we think that he is going to reveal the work of Maria in this project and suddenly in the new chapter Maria calls her friends Payne and Jones, telling them that her boss disappears without telling her role in the project.
This book is totally different from the adventure and suspense we get to read. It has a totally different aspect.
If you get this book, let me warn you that after reading this book, you will think of no other book, but this and you will like no other work but Chris Kuzneski's.
You can take my example. I am trying to read Voyager, but thoughts from the other book keep coming back.
If you get this book, enjoy this book to the fullest. And I have doubt that you guys are going to enjoy it!

Heroes Of Olympus - The Son Of Neptune by Rick Riordon
The sequel to the book The Lost Hero is the Son Of Neptune.
Percy Jackson, son of Posiedon, God of the Sea, has woken from a very deep sleep and come face to face with two snake haired ladies who refuse to die. But their the least of his problems. Because Percy finds himself at a camp for half-bloods, which doesnt ring any bells for him. There's just one name he remembers from his past. Annabeth. Only one thing is certain - Percy's questing days aren't over. He and fellow demigods Frank and Hazel must face the most important quest of all: the Prophecy of Seven. If they fail, its not just their camp at risk. Percy's old life, the Gods and the entire world might be destroyed.
As I told for the first book, the book's just great. I would not say as great as the first book, but good. There are a lot of expected things happening. For instance, Percy will drink the gorgon's blood sooner or later. Phineas will die. Percy will not drown.
But there were a few unexpected things too. No examples here. I will be giving away the best part of the book.
Like the last book was about Jason, this book was about Percy, a completely different storyline, except in the end. Both the camps meet up. That's it. But the way, Mr.Riordon has mixed up Myth and Mordern and told us what Mother Gaia does, will leave the readers in shock.
I just love the way Mr. Riordon has every chapter to the Protagonists of the book. Every incident, he goes into the minds of the different characters and tell us what they felt like.
The plot's not too great. Many things are expected and I like things totally unexpected.
As on why should you read this book, is a completely different theory. This book is totally different from the other books. It can also give knowledge on Greek and Roman Mythology (if you want any) and for the fun of it. The way you get to laugh on some of the parts is just superb. The combination of the seriousness, though humour has been put together very elegantly. All in all, reading this book is just great. Your mood gets lightened, you feel carefree anbd you want to finish it as fast as possible. In other words, its a page turner.
There's a sequel to this book called The Mark of Athena, which is not released yet. But, I promise you guys that the review for that book also will be on this blog sooner or later.

Fourth Location
We had our last and final show here. This place is the resting place of the VISITS OF THEATRE SEASONS. This place is called Shishu Mandir School and College. We did our plays here and we did something called Phorum Theatre. In this the actors do a story and stop in the middle. One person from the audience can replace any of the actors and act their behalf on what they think is right. I didnt do this type of theatre. The group did it. But it was a lot of fun. There was a lot of humour and the fight the audience who acted put up was great. Fact, that they didnt act well, but the way they talked was amazing, talking their views out. We had a small celebration after that and came home. Next, God take me to the big stage (for two or more hours!!!)

Third Location
The third location was... I didnt exactly get the name of the place. It was in Indiranagar, very, very close to our theatre class. There was a camp there for children who are mentally and physically challenged. I think the YT group had performed there laast year, but this was my first time there. Again, the audience was very enthusiastic and they saw the plays very intently. When I was shooting on the handycam, I zoomed in and saw every child looking in the direction of the stage. The suggestions they gave were also so many and so realistic. The other locations had a similar complete the story. Here, it was totally different. In the other locations, I made my friends realize that whatever they were doing to me, was wrong. Here, they realized and took me to school and helped with my work and stuff. It was cool. After a long time I got to do something different. The children there were very enthusiastic, and I mean very enthusiastic and very energetic. I had a fun time there. It was just awesome! I hope I can go there again. They had a lot of talent. Their setbacks didnt stop them from dreaming. I wish and hope that every mentally and physically challenged kid in the world would achieve his/her dream.

Heroes Of Olympus - The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan
We all know who Rick Riordan is. He is the writer of the famous series, Percy Jackson. Now, Rick Riordan has come up with a sequel to those series. The Heroes Of Olympus.
The book is exciting. In fact, its a page turner. You never come to know that you have finished this much pages of the book. Every page surprises me. Now, something is happening and the next page suddenly something else happens. I am always surprised by Rick Riordan and the characters in his books.
There is the great prophecy for Seven. (The prophecy is told in the last book of the Percy Jackson series.) Percy goes for missing for two to three months. The Gods have also gone silent. Annabeth, Percy's girlfriend, is searching for him. In the meantime, three new demigods (kids of Gods and mortals) come to Camp Half - Blood. They are Piper, Leo and Jason. Jason has lost his memory and gets some visions of his memory in his dreams. Eventually, he comes to know that Hera has wiped his memory.
Piper has her own problems. A monster called Enceladus has kidnapped his father.
Leo's Mom had died when he was very young.
After coming to camp, Leo came to be the son of Hephasteus, the God of fire and Machinery. During the dinner time, Piper is claimed by Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love and Jason by Zeus.
Leo is in the forest during dinner time. He finds a dragon made of bronze and cleans it. He names it Festus and during the night time he modifies him.
These three are chosen for a prophecy to find Hera and save her. But, they cant use land as Gaia, the mother earth, will do anything to stop them. Leo adds wings to Festus ands they fly on him to Quebec to find the God of the North Wind.
There they met Khoine, the Goddess of Ice. She wanted to make them statues of ice, but her father, Boreos, wouldn't allow that. From there they went to Detroit where they had to face three cyclopes. Piper and Jason were captured and Leo saved them.
After that they went to Chicago where they met Chicago, defeated her and took the cages containing Coach Gleeson Hedge, their protector, and the storm spirits. From there they fly to King Midas' place where they crash land and Festus breaks. King Midas is the person who could change anything he touched into gold. He turned Piper and Leo to gold. Jason tricked him and he turned his son into gold. Midas got trapped under a chandelier. Jason sent some lighting into the sky. The roof broke and rain poured inside. All the statues turned back into human, including Leo. Piper had to be dipped into the river outside to be got back.
Escaping from there, they took shelter in a cave for the night, where Lycaon came with a pack of werewolves. The Hunters of Artemis drive them away. Thalia stays back as she is Jason's sister. They talk a bit and Thalia takes them to Aelous' palace, the palace of the wind God. Thalia has to go after Lycaon and promises that she will meet them at the Wolf House. At Aelous' palace, they are nearly killed by the wind God, because someone orders him to kill them.
In her dreames, Piper's Mom, Aphrodite, talks to her and they go to San Francisco. At Mt. Diablo, they fight Enceladus and free Piper's Dad. Piper sees her Dad go home in his plane, accompanied by Coach Hedge.
At the Wolf House, they see Porphyron rising. They also see that Khione is the one who orders Zeus to close down Olympus. She also orders Aelous to send them to their death. After being risen, Jason keeps him busy till Piper and Leo free Hera.
Hera takes her Godly form and kills everyone, but not Porphyron. She post pones Gaia's plane to overthrow Olympus. She knows that Gaia will rise and the Gods will have to unite with the demigods to defeat their army.
Jason gets back his memory and tells Chiron, Annabeth, Leo and Piper that he is from Camp Jupiter, the Roman Camp for demigods. Hera was talking about a gamble and the gamble was he and Percy Jackson. He was sent to Camp Half - Blood as a representative and to understand their camp. That meant that Percy Jackson was in Camp Jupiter without his memory.
Camp Jupiter and Camp Half - Blood always had this rivalry. So, they had to be very careful not to fight with each other. They needed demigods from both the camps to fight Gaia's army and that is when they will succeed. For now, they had delayed Gaia's plans but by no means had they stopped her.
This book is great and people of all ages can read it. It has a sequel called The Son of Neptune which I am still reading. If you get this book, please read it because you will never find anything better than this book (at least I have not found anything better, not till now, though!)

Second Location
The second location was a government school called M.E.C Public School in Yelahanka. There was a camp held there for children from a backward society. We all performed there mixing Kannada, Hindi and English. Though, the children there didn't perform anything, they were very imaginative and enthusiastic. They saw the play intently without any sound. It was great being there.
One boy suggested that Preksha should get married to get a mobile for her play! They were the best audience till now. They were the best.
There was a scientist there who had a science script. I think he was a theatre enthusiast. He gave a big lecture on what could we do to promote science. I got bored because he was just boasting about his self. Let me tell you nothing useful. Though the show went well and that was the greatest part.

My First Performance with Yours Truly
I go to Theatre Class. This is my second year there and I think my efforts are paying off. The Theatre Group who teach us is called Yours Truly Theatre Group. This group does a theatre called Complete The Story. In this we will be given a story which is incomplete and acted out by the actors and we are supposed to complete it.
I have performed at Alma (the place where our theatre class is) twice or thrice with my batchmates. But, this time its totally different.
Yours Truly also takes workshops for adults. This time there are six children joining the adult group, which includes me. All the six kids are: Aryan, Advika, Adyant, Ila, Preksha and me.
There are four different plays. I will not go telling the story about each play, but my play.
In my play, there are six people, in name Abhishekh, Bandeep, Ila, Vivek and me. Im the protagonist.
There is a basketball match between two teams, Naphsters and Victorious Riders. The Naphsters score two baskets and the Victorious Riders, one. During the second basket, the ball hits the captain of the Victorious Riders (that's me!). I am taken to a hospital where the doctor checks a patient's mouth and comes to the conclusion that he needs to have a kidney transplant. I come to know that my jaw is broken and the doctor seals up my mouth. For three months I'm useless. My friends come and tease me and my parents dont understand my pain nor my feelings.
I had performed this play at a sociey called Desire Society on Banerghatta Road (Its a place in Bangalore.) The Desire Society raises and educates those children whose parents are HIV+. The children there were very talented and imaginative. Though being from a backward society, their dreams of studying and becoming something didnt get dampened.
This was our first location. Our next location takes us to Yelahanka, which falls in Rural Bangalore.
I would love it if you guys could complete the story.

The H-Bomb Girl by Stephen Baxter
The H-Bomb Girl is based on the Cold War in the year 1962.
Laura, a fourteen a girl, has a key which can trigger a Nuclear War. She is advised that she has to use it when the worst of the worst of the came, though she didn't know what was this worst of the worst.
In her new school she has made some friends and they come to know everything about her. They are also lured in the same danger as she is. Her form teacher, Miss Wells, looks very much like her and a waitress in a cafe, she frequently goes with her friends, has the same diary as she has. There was a stranger in her house in the room they had rented in their house in Liverpool. His name was Mort. He acted very strangely. One day, Bern, Joel and she found a strange device in Miss Wells bag. They all thought it was a phone because of seeing that sign on one of the sides. They also saw a driving licence dated 2007.
At home, Laura saw a strange device hidden behind the books on the shelf. Laura thought it was a computer, but she wasnt sure. When an old man came to their home and he was looking just like Mort, her suspicions arose.
Agatha, who was the waitress in the cafe, would call her Mum, and Laura was confused. Why would a lady, forty years, or more, older to her, call her Mum? Eventually she came to know that Agatha, both the Morts and Miss Wells were from the future. She came to know that Agatha would be her daughter in the future if this Cold War happened.
Both, Agatha and Miss Wells, wanted the Key.
When she was taken to Miss Wells, she came to know that the wanted to rule the past, present and future and that is why they wanted the Key. Agatha's future was destroyed because of the Nuclear War and she wanted it to improve it. Laura decided that giving the Key to anyone of them was useless and she destroyed it. Mort was furious with this action and pointed a gun at Laura as his future was also destroyed, the Key was destroyed and old Mort was destroyed. At the right time, her Dad came to the rescue. They picked up a gun fight with each other and, seeing that they had no chance of winning this gunfight, all the people coming from the future went back there and one of Laura's friend, called Nick, also went there. Bern, who was pregnant, was sent to a church and was living there. Agatha was trapped there. She helped Bern escape with her baby out of the church because they were giving the baby for adoption.
Its a very good book, telling us that we should never fear anyone and do what is right even if we get killed. Its a cool and adventurous book, telling us what will happen if there was a nuclear war. Every person, above the age of twelve, who is interest in History and Nuclear Power will enjoy this book.

Young Archaeologists - Journey to Delhi
We decided that we will go to the Indian places first because it will be time saving and cheap. We decided that we will go to Delhi as it’s the capital of India. We decided that we will go after one week because Shaan will have to book the tickets.
I didn’t want to stay alone at my house as I was very scared. Even Josh was scared so we decided that I will stay with Shaan and Josh will stay with Rob. This was done and I was going to sit in a Limozine. I didn’t actually care about that because I wanted to live my life. I didn’t know Shaan would take such an expensive hotel as The Oberoi and take a different room for me. I think that cost some Rs.40, 000.
I was getting a hell lot of SMS’s from my friends and I bet Josh’s inbox will also be full of their SMS’s. When I didn’t reply, they thought I was with my parents.
Once, I went to the mall and I ran into my friends. I totally forgot that we had organised a party today because the exams of a person were getting over today and we could celebrate. When they didn’t receive any message from Josh and me, they gave up on us. Now, when they saw me, they were suspicious about me. Akaash asked me, “If you were in Bangalore all this while why didn’t you answer back to our SMS’s.
“What SMS are you talking about? I didn’t receive any SMS.”
“Oh! C’mon man! Now don’t act like you don’t know. Check your inbox.”
“Fine.” I check my inbox and I knew about the messages they had sent me. I pretended to be surprised and exclaimed, “OMG! When did you send me so many messages? I didn’t notice them!”
“Ya! Ya! Now don’t act so surprised. Are you joining us for the party?”
“Ya! Sure. Where is Josh? I thought even he had to come?”
“Ya! But he is just like you. He didn’t answer our messages.”
“Oh! OK.”
“Gimme fifteen minutes. I’ll change, get some cash and come. Fine?” I ran to my room, changed, grabbed some cash and went to Shaan’s room to tell him where was I going and things like that. Then I ran to the mall and there they were waiting for me after buying the tickets for an English movie. I was wearing a skin tight jeans and a cool, guyish shirt and I had some Rs. 2, 000 in my pocket thanks to Shaan. We went to the movie and it was a good one. We went to a restaurant there and ate lunch. The food was very good and we ran into Josh. This guy, after seeing all of us, starting running to the exit. I ran behind him calling his name and, when he stopped, I went to him and told him, “Listen. They will get suspicious and will start asking us questions. Best would be to come and join us.” He saw the reasoning and came and join us. But, Akaash was very suspicious about what was going on. Though, after that, seeing that there was no more suspicion, he cooled down. We went to a shop to buy some things. Everybody bought a Tzinga that is why I thought that even I will buy one. We had a competition ‘How Many Tzingas Can You Drink.’ Akaash won the competition. He drank eight Tzingas. I drank only two.
After the celebration I ran to the hotel where I came to know that the flight has been preponed and we have to run to the airport now. I hurriedly packed my bag and went to the airport. There were Rob and Josh waiting for us. We ran to them and they told us that the flight leaves in one and a half hour. That means that we have time to check in and for security check in. Till the time we reach the gates, final boarding will be going on.
It happened as we assumed. When we reached the gate, the board there wrote final boarding. We were the last passengers to board the plane. We were to fly to Delhi to save the lives of Josh and I. I couldn’t believe that it was starting. I was getting tensed and excited. We all had different seats. Before closing my mobile, I texted Josh, Rob and Shaan about how I was feeling. Josh texted me back that he was feeling the same way. Rob texted me that that was the way a person feels when he had to save his own life. Shaan texted me that I just have to calm down and wait till our lives are safe and out of harm’s way.
I wanted to laugh on Shaan’s message. After all, who could calm himself down when he had to save his life and didn’t know what was coming. The flight started and the person beside me started grumbling away about how the ears pain when the plane is suppose to land or take off, and when the plane was actually taking off, he made such a racket, screaming in my ears! The plane had to be stopped and this man had to be taken down as his ears had some problem which could lead to deafness.
Now, the place between one guy and I was empty. When I saw his face, it was pale and scared as if the next minute a bomb would fall on him. One more thing I noticed about him was that he looked exactly like Josh. He was about my age and I don’t know why was he so scared. I think because he was alone. I had at least three people with me. It could be that he had no one. I was so concerned about him that I, without thinking again, asked him if he was alright. He didn’t reply, but shrank much more in the seat, looking at me with a very scared expression as if I was his captor and any moment from now I would take out a gun, keep it on his head and press the trigger. I just let him be. I tried to read a book, but my mind kept on wandering on the adventure we were going to have. The more I tried to concentrate the more it wandered off. I just closed my book, frustrated that I couldn’t get my mind off things and couldn’t just read my recently bought book.
At that moment, the air hostess came with the food. I took the tray she was handing out and prayed to God for it to be something good. When the air hostess gave the tray to the guy sitting next to me, he refused. The flight had one more hour to go and I didn’t know when he was going to get his food. So, I took the tray for him and kept it on his table. I thought that if he doesn’t eat it, I would insist him to eat the food.
When the guy saw that I was so concerned about him, he became a little brave and that was a relief. I really didn’t want to be sitting next to a timid boy who acted so much like a girl. He started a conversation with me.
“What’s your name?” He asked me.
“Hi, I’m Rocky.” He looked confused and I told him, “My name is actually Rima but I like being called Rocky.”
“Oh Ok. My name is Jordon. Nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you too. Um… are you alone on this plane? I mean, where are your parents?”
“My parents are not going to come with me. They hate me.”
“Why do you say that?”
“I have this quest to save my life. When my parents came to know about it, they just let me down. I had to use my pocket money for this adventure.”
“Can you tell me more about this adventure?”
“Sure. My team and I mates killed these aliens who landed on Earth a million years ago. Now they’ve risen and are after all of us. I don’t know if my partners have received the message or not.”
“Excuse me.”
I got up from my seat and went to Rob, Josh and Shaan. I beckoned them to come to the lavatory area. Josh shot a crazy look at me and I mouthed the words ‘It’s important.’ He shrugged his shoulders and came after us.
There, I asked Rob, "Is there one more person with us, who is suppose to be saving his life? Just answer in Yes or No. "
"Promise me you won’t be upset with me."
"It depends."
Rob took a deep breath and continued, "Yes. Yes, there is one more person who is saving his life alone and he is in need of us and we are in need of him."
"What is his name?"
"Jordon Rai."
"The person sitting next to me."
"Is he related to Rocky and me?" said Josh.
"Yes, he is. He is the oldest in all three of you. Thirty seconds older to you, Rima."
"That means we are triplets!" exclaimed Josh.
"So, should I tell him all about us?" I said.
"I think you should." Rob answered.
All of us started to go to our seats and before I could go I told Rob, "Never ever try hiding anything from me, Rob."
He just nodded his head in guilt and went away to his seat.
I decided I will not get straight to the point. I started a conversation with him, "Soooo why haven’t your parents come with you?"
"They didn’t want to risk their lives for me. Say I'm a disgrace to the family. Brought me up just because they were 'children lovers'. Huh! I don’t see any truth in that. Sometimes I think they aren’t my real parents. They act so weirdly."
"Ahhhh. And you told them about this thing?"
"Ofcourse I did, believing that they will support me. Instead they turned their backs on me. Now I know for sure they don’t like me or they wouldn’t have done this. In a way it is good that I went from there. I heard them planning a plot to kill me and make people think it as I committed suicide.
"OMG! How did you manage to escape?"
"This adventure."
Rob came to me, smiled at Jordon and whispered in my ear, "Tell him fast. Delhi has come. Very short time to the airport."
At this, I came straight to the point. "Jordon, we are your companions. That is Josh and me. We are all actually siblings. You are the oldest, then comes me and then Josh. Each thirty seconds difference. You have to stay with us."
"Seriously? Oh, That is such a relief. I thought there was something in you that I possessed."
"Ok. Are you with us?"
"Yes."
After five minutes, we were landing in Delhi. The place I had been so often to stay with my grandma and my uncle and here I was. They didn’t even know I was here and I couldn't go meet them. I had only a week here. I had to find this unusual thing. Now Jordon also had joined us that means that we have double the expenditure. Just because Rob said that we are siblings doesn’t make us siblings. I had to know the truth which was the proof.
“Ok. So which hotel are we going to? Seven Star?” I asked.
“No. Nine star.” Shaan replied.
“What the hell!”
“Yes. I have so much money that I can give luxury to people whose life is at stake.”
“Shaan, don’t make us feel helpless. I am telling you. Its gonna be very bad for you.”
“I was not making you feel helpless. I was just making you see the practical aspect.”
“Can we please stop fighting and start searching for a taxi?” Rob said. We all nodded.
Jordan was acting weird. He didn’t go ask Shaan for an autograph, nor did he ask what was going on here. Why were we acting as if we are family? I suppose a person who is going to die doesn’t get all these in his head except saving his life, no matter what he has to do. I didn’t know why, but now I felt neither excitement nor fear. I just felt as if I have come here for a holiday. Actually, part of it was a holiday. The other part was work.
I was filled with these thoughts all along in the taxi. I came out of my dream world when Josh started shaking me vigorously. I am like, “Ouch! What the hell is your problem? Can’t you sit quietly for some time?”
“I was sitting quietly for two hours, my darling. The hotel’s come. Get up.” Said Josh.
“Why are you calling me ‘darling’?”
“Because you are my darling.”
“Shut up, dude. Please. Do you have any sense in you? No. Dude, we are out of Bangalore, ok? Now keep quiet.”
He first glared at me and, seeing everybody around, shrugged his shoulders and walked towards the hotel.
I was getting out my things and mumbled under my breath, “What’s up with him? Why is he so irritating today?”
When we went inside to book the rooms, I understood why was he acting weird today.
When I went inside, I saw that Shaan had already booked our rooms and I knew mine will be different and I will be all alone in my room. I was happy with that thought. Whenever I was in my room, I would be able to do anything. But, I got the shock of my life, when I had to share my room with Josh. When I went inside my room and I saw some more suitcases. I walked here and there to see who had come into my room by mistake. When I went to the bathroom side and tried opening the door, it wouldn’t budge. When I was going to call Shaan for an explanation, the bathroom door opened and Josh came out of the bathroom. I looked shocked. What is this moron doing in my room?
Though, Josh didn’t look shocked at all. When he saw me he just commented saying, “Oh! You came? That is good.” I couldn’t speak or move a muscle of my body. I was staring at him opened mouthed and he didn’t even notice!
When I came out of my shock, I asked in a very angry tone and, in my anger, shouted, “What the hell are you doing in my room? Get out of here right now! I told Now! NOW! Get out of my sight!” I think I didn’t scare him much. He just came to me and took my face in his hands, and said, “Now, now, my darling. Stop acting like that. It will be much better if we share a room than waste Shaan’s money. Wont it? Now come on stop cribbing over it. I told him that we can share one room and our Rocky is a person who compromises, right?”
I tried to cool down my anger and said in a much more calmed tone, “Stop-calling-me-darling.”
“Why? After all you are my girlfriend.”
“What?! How dare you?! You dare to call me your girlfriend? Wait.”
I go out of the room and go to Shaan’s room and started banging on it. Shaan opened the door looking irritated and as if I had interrupted him in something.
“What?”
I get a quick glance inside. I cool down my anger and I ask him, “You believed Josh when he said that I am his girlfriend? You know we are siblings. Then why did you put both of us together? If you wanted to put, you could put Jordon also with us, right?”
“Ya. I know and I didn’t believe him. As I knew you both were siblings and that is why I put you in the same room. And, as for Jordon, we have just met him. That is why I put him in the other room.”
“I order you to put Jordon in the same room as Josh and me. Right now.”
“I can’t do it right now.”
“Fine. Then I’ll wait outside your door till you have done it.”
He gave a sigh of tiredness and went to the phone and told to cancel the room Jordon was staying in.
After he did that, he came to me and said, “Fine?”
“Yes. And who is that girl on your bed?” He just banged the door on my face. I started laughing secretly. I went to Jordon’s room and told him to shift to our room because Shaan had cancelled his room. Without any complaint, he took his bags and came with me.
I knocked on my door. When Josh opened the door and said, “Hi Baby.” And came in, followed by Jordon. When Josh saw Jordon, he pulled me aside and asked me, “What the hell is he doing here?”
I said as loudly as I could, “Oh, he? Shaan couldn’t afford one more room and that is why, he send Jordon in our room. First, he thought that he would take him in his room, but I offered to take him. After all, all of us siblings.”
Josh started fuming on this. I smiled at him and went from there to help Jordon set his bed. That night, I slept down and the boys slept on top. I couldn’t believe that I would be sleeping with two boys. I was insane!
The next day, when we were at breakfast, I told everyone how Jordon and Josh were hugging and sticking together when I got up today morning. When everybody, else was out of earshot, I again asked Shaan who that girl was. He replied, “Rob. Nothing considering me.”
“Then, why did she get up when you came to open the door?”
“She was practicing something. I don’t know what. I didn’t want to ask her. She was waiting for Rob. I slept on the ground because of that.”
“Ohhhhhh.”
I ate my breakfast without a word. And then it happened. On that breakfast table. My mum started calling me. I couldn’t help but ignore it. She continued calling me and, I, getting fed up, put my phone on silent. Then, I texted her not to call me and not to make a police complaint saying I was missing because I am safe and sound, but I can’t tell you where I am or why have I gone there. Thank God she listened to me or I would have gone mad listening to the phone ringing every two seconds. We were going to go and search for the things we needed. Then, I suggested that we better Google about Delhi, come to know what things can be found here and, then, search for the unusual things. At that time a question came into my mind. “Hey, Rob, a thing which is found here can be from any other country or that thing should be found nowhere in the world?”
“Good question. It should be found nowhere in the world.”
All of us said together, “Shit!”
I said, “Sooooo, that type of a thing can be only from space and the things from space are not going for sale. If it was for sale also, it would cost millions of dollars.”
“You’re right. Now, what should we do?” said Jordon.
“One minute. Jordon you know how to read this language, right?”
“Yep. Very true.”
“Rob, give me that paper.” Rob handed me that piece of paper with a slight frown on his face.
“Jordon read this paper and translate it to all of us right now.”
“Right. It says that –
“In direct speech.”
“Ok. ‘You, in name Jordon Rai, Rima Rai and Aryan Rai, are in great danger of being killed by some aliens who you killed one million years ago. As this is your last life, I, God, thought that I should give all three of you a chance to live. You need an archaeologist just to translate this to you or you don’t need an archaeologist at all. You need a celebrity to fund all your trips –
“Wait a minute. We don’t need an archaeologist for this trip.”
“Ya. So? We don’t have an archaeologist.”
“Rob is an archaeologist.”
We all looked at Rob. Rob was backing away, smiling guiltily. He was about to make a run for it, when I caught him.
“So, Mr. Rob, what is all this about?” I asked him.
“None of your business.” He snapped back.
I knew why. The whole room now was surrounded by assassins. He was going to kill us. I didn’t believe this.
In my trance, I loosened my hold on Rob and he got free.
“Aha!”, said Rob, “look what happened to these stupid young teens and this ‘big’ celebrity Shaan. Very sad. Very sad. All four of you are going to die soon because you didn’t listen to me. Gave the paper to that dog Jordon to read. At least I could have had a trip of my life if this Jordon hadn’t come in the between. You know what, I am actually a fake archaeologist. The scripts people get to me to read. I just make some stuff up and involve myself in it. Then, I go with them wherever they go. If they come to know about me – He spread his arms and looked around at the assassins – “well, you can see. So, I am very sorry my friends. Unfortunately, every person I have assisted came to know about my secret. So, I think, I have killed hundreds of people and I never get caught. So, guys at the count of three you will be in heaven. Any last wishes?”
“Of course. I want to say everyone goodbye and meet you in heaven to all those who are going die.” I said.
“Go on.”
“Guys, a close circle, please?”
All of us were in a very close circle and I started, “Guys, there is not much time to waste. I will tell you what to do. There are eight men in here, including Rob. We all are going to take on two of them, each on the count of two, i.e., when Rob says two. I will take on Rob. Put them on a heap and I will call the police. Any questions?”
“No,” everybody answered. We stood in a row and Rob started counting.
“One… Two… -
“Now!” I screamed and all of us jumped on two of them each.
I jumped on a person just next to Rob and took his gun. I opened it and took out all the bullets in my hand and hid it in my pocket. I offered him the gun back.
I think he hadn’t seen me taking out the bullets.
The second he got the gun right, he just started shooting. I was staring at him with a surprised expression on my face.
I snatched the gun from his hand and refilled the bullets. I gave the gun back to him. He thought that still the gun was empty and just took the gun from me. The mouth was pointing in his direction. He didn’t see that. He just pressed the trigger. The bullet went right through his head. I hated to see that sight and almost fainted when the thought struck me. I had indirectly killed that person. I got myself to my senses and looked here and there for Rob. I spotted him amidst the confusion created by Josh. I went to him and tapped him on his back. He turned around suddenly as if somebody was going to kill him. I waved a hand to him and he smiled as if in response.
Before he could react, I punched him hard on his face. He went back in clutched his mouth in pain. He took his hand off his mouth, the way they do in Hindi movies, and saw blood on it. He got so angry that he came charging on me like a mad bull. I think it was my instinct, I just caught his head and send him banging to the closest wall. I dust my hands as if saying my work is done here. I left him there and started walking to help the others. Just immediately, I was chocking. Rob was chocking me. I elbowed him badly in his stomach and he went back. He made a face in the pain, but
I think, he shouted something and I couldn’t hear him in the noise.
I went back to him and punched him in the face. I said aloud, “You are a good punching bag.” I started hitting him on his whole body. He was shouting with pain. I was just laughing at the state of him and, I think, I started hitting him softly (even I’m a human being) he caught my hand and twisted my hand. I shouted on the top of my voice. Suddenly, he started losing grip on my hand and started to act as if he was getting chocked. I was looking with confusion on my face.
“Go, Rocky, make a run for it. I’ll handle him!” It was Josh. With one hand he was chocking an assassin and with the other hand he was chocking Rob.
“You sure?”
“Dude, let me be a hero once. You are a victorious hero in the apartment, Shaan’s a hero in India and Jordon is some tragedy hero.” I smiled at him and ran out of the hotel.
Everybody gathered around me and asked me if I’m all right. I made up some story and told them that Rob had started beating me up. At the right time Josh came and took him single handed. With the other hand he beat up someone else and I ran out of there. At that time, Josh came out of there carrying a sack. All of us knew who was in there. Josh came to us with the sack and asked us, “So, Police Station or Junk Yard?”
“We were looking for this gang from a long time. They used to kill many people and you people have done us a big favour catching them for us.” Said the inspector to us, after putting Rob in jail. His hearing will be tomorrow and we are sure he will be hanged or will be sentenced for life imprisonment. Though, we didn’t want to see that happening, so we just heard the praises from the inspector.
We went back to the hotel and I asked Jordon to continue with the instructions manual, as we all started calling it.
“‘You need a celebrity to fund all your trips. You need stuff which the cities are popular for. The cities are, Alaska, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Detroit, Florida, Hiroshima, Holland, Houston, Jackson, Kolkata, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Mississipppi, Missouri, Mumbai, Nagasaki, Paris, San Francisco, Singapore, Stockholm, Sydney, Texas, Tokyo, Toronto, and Venice. You have to follow the order given or the things you buy will be of no use. You also need weapons which are a dagger, a pistol and a knife each. While the celebrity is with you, he is also in the same danger as you are. Trust no one. Stay together and when there is some accident or something unusual happens, then the aliens are very near you. It’s like a hint. You should follow the hint. If you have to escape from there, go in the opposite direction from the scene. You should be quick and not stop to see what will happen next. If at all you stop, you will be facing the worst of the worst. Remember each one of you need each other.’ Oh God! We will have to follow the order! Now we will have to go to Paris first! That is such a waste of time and money!”
“So, guys, the journey to Delhi was a waste of time and money. Lets head to Alaska and see what does the journey to Alaska bring us.” Said Josh, which was so very true. Meet you in Alaska, people!

Studies
Studies. Everyone has to study if they want to become big. The thing is that if I have to top the class I'll have to give in additional efforts. One of them is studying in the holidays. I do that, but the thing is I don't feel like doing it these holidays. My Dad and Mom always keep on nagging me for my studies. Now, I have grown used to this nagging. So, if there is no one to nag me about for anything then I don't feel like doing anything. There is the problem. My parents, specially my Mum, have to go out for work. If there is no one at home I seriously don't feel like studying. I need some distraction during studies, then only I feel like studying. Now, I write too and I write well (that's what I think. If I don't, please comment.) and I got very less marks in the subjects I like. I think that I feel as if I understood and I didn't or I understood but I can't give the exam. I hope its the second reason. If its the first reason, I think I'll change my profession to a writer. If not writer, then just a normal stupid job which I'll never be happy with. Its so difficult to decide what to become. I want to go to America. Follow my dreams and see them come true. I really don't know what to do. I need a way to get out of this... stage, if that is what I should call it. I need to concentrate on my studies which I am not able to. Huh! I was never able to put my thoughts straight. I always.... what should I call it? Mix up or mess up. OK I'll try.
Studies is a very, to the power infinite, serious topic for me. Am I just racing or can I win without racing i..e understand everything and still get less marks in the exam? Or should I just understand, which I do, and go give the exam coolly without thinking how many marks will I get. I need marks because the Indians know the education system in India. Every college, institute and school care only about marks. So, I think, marks are very important to me.
Studies are important, guys, dont neglect them. (Doesn't it sound as if Im trying to console myself? Actually I am, fifty percent!)

If I Were Invisible...
Though, science has still not found out how to be invisible, many people want to be invisible. Some want to be invisible just because they want to live free lives. Some want to be invisible to do their work without any disturbance and some want to be invisible to spend their time leisurely.
If I were invisible, I would roam around the earth freely, threaten people to give me whatever I wanted and would kill people for my happiness. Nobody would ever come to know who is doing all this and everybody will think God changed the way world will end. That is what a person would expect froma girl like me, though I would do none of these things.
I would rather help the developing nations progress and have greenery everywhere around me. I would guide the politicians of our country to take the good route and, if they are stubborn, take charge of the nation myself. In short, I would do everything which is good for the world and the people of the world.

Holi
I know I am writing very late about Holi. I know it got over at 8th March and I am writing about it on 20th March. Now, I am not giving any excuses. I am just telling the reason why I didn't write the post long ago. First thing, I had exam stress. I had English Language exam right after Holi and I had to prepare for it. There was so much excitement the day before Holi and I had Hindi on 8th. So, I couldn't enjoy at all. Second thing, I forgot. I forgot that the blog is there not only for writing stories but also to put what I have experienced here and there. Third thing, all my friends wanted to see the blog that I was sitting and making it better by appearance. I forgot that the real beauty of the blog is its posts. Though lets forget all that and let me tell you all how I celebrated Holi.
This time, on Holi, there was a fairly less crowd than it is every year. Though, there were people to play with. This time we didn't play Girls vs Boys. It had become old. We played just like that, putting water on each other and colour. Coming close and blasting water balloons. They caught me everywhere!
We had two new friends who were playing their first Holi in the Apartment. So, we made a new rule. Whoever is new to the Apartment and it is his first Holi there, he will go into the tub. So we took Manogna and Pratima and put them in the tub. Then, one boy called Jeet proposed that everyone should go inside the tub and they are not going to leave anyone, how much ever they run away from them. Everyone went into the tub, but, I didn't want to go. I was running here and there, with these people chasing me. At last they caught me and even I gave up. I was dumped in the tub, made to sit down and everyone started putting colour all over my head and then water. I washed myself up in the tub and got out. That was really shocking. I persist so much that if people say that they are never going to give in, they give in. But, I think Jeet has a mind like mine and all the boys follow him.
We really had a lot of fun on Holi. I came down at twelve o' clock and went home at two. There was no place on our body which didn't have colour. When I put shampoo on my head to take out the colour, I had to be under the shower for five minutes continuous as there was so much colour on my head. After some time, I had finished studying and was listening to songs through the earphone. When I took them out, there was colour at the sided of the earphones! That indicated that there was still colour in my ear and I immediately went and washed off all the other colour.
I have never experienced so much fun in Holi before. This was the very best Holi ever!

My First Experience in the Kitchen
It was all very perfect. Mother used to make food for us and dessert. The whole family liked food made from her hand. As soon as she called us for lunch or dinner, we would run to the dining table.
Suddenly, everything turned around. I grew up and landed in Singapore. I didn't know how to do anything.
I went in the kitchen and saw what eatables were kept there. In fact, I was surrounded with utensils. I went to a nearby hypermarket and bought the stuff my mother used to buy and kept it in the places my mother used to keep. I started to think what can I make. I thought that Maggi was the best thing for a tired out person like me.
I followed the instructions on the packet. I put water to boil and started watching TV. When I came back, a lot of water had boiled away. I put the Maggi into the water and started stirring it for the Maggi to get soft.
I became impatient and put the flavouring before the Maggi could become soft. Coming in contact with water, the flavouring started to form lumps. I managed to break away a lot of lumps, though after that also there were many.
When I put it in the bowl, it looked so gooey and sticky that I didn't feel like eating it. But when I ate it, it wasn't so bad. In fact, it was much better than the normal Maggi. Now I came to know the meaning of the proverb "Beauty is only skin deep."
This was my first experience in the kitchen. Now I know how to cook like that which can be consumed!!!

Young Archaeologists
Suddenly, my head started spinning around by itself. I was stunned. I was also getting dizzy by the minute. I tried to stop my head from rotating, but it started rotating much faster. I started shouting, "Stop, please stop. I beg you, stop." I started crying and thought that I was going to faint. As suddenly as it had started, the spinning stopped. I got up and vomited in the toilet. I thought it was a dream and pinched myself to see if I was correct. Alas, it wasn't a dream. I vomited again and, this time, blood came out of my mouth.
I was alone at home. No one was there for a month as they had gone out. I tried to call my mom, but she wasn't picking up the phone. I get tensed very fast, and I got tensed right now. I didn't know what to do. I looked around to see if there is someone is hiding here. Suddenly, I dropped flat on the ground. I started breathing fast. My body and my head stiffened. I moved my eyes here and there to see if any one was there. As soon as my body and face loosened, I got up and ran to my neighbour's house. My neighbour's son opened the door. I rudely ran inside and sat on their sofa. I asked Josh to get some water for me.
I was surprised that he did not comment on my rudeness. He just got me water and sat opposite me.
After I drank some water, I apologised to him and told him what had happened. He didn't look surprised at all. I asked him, " Why are you sitting like nothing happened? Aren't you shocked?"
"I am not shocked about what happened because it happened to me also. I am shocked because it happened to you also.
Now it was my turn to be shocked. He said, "I think it is some old force which is doing this to us and whoever it does this to, has to go and expose this force to the whole world."
"Josh, please be practical. Just because you want to become an archaeologist doesn't mean that everything unusual thing which happens has a archaeological meaning, OK. Now lets see. Our heads started rotating almost at the same time. We vomited twice and the second time we vomited, blood came out of our mouth. What can this mean? Its not going anywhere."
We were sitting and thinking for the next few hours, but got no where. Josh was getting new ideas like, some old aliens were here long ago and our ancestors had seen them and killed them. Everyone knows that aliens cannot be killed and they need some three or four billion years to come alive again. They come alive again and find us and want to torture us. I was always rolling my eyes on this. I tried to concentrate but was not able to.
Then, again, something unusual happened. I started walking against my will. I tried to stop myself. Josh tried to stop me. But that only made the walking faster. I was banging into things and when the walking stopped, I had bruises all over my thighs.
After it stopped for me, it started for Josh. The ditto same thing which happened to me. I was dumbfounded. After the thing stopped, (I am calling it thing because I don't know what to call it.) a voice spoke. It was ancient language and I couldn't understand a thing. The voice was heavy and old, and angry.
On that, Josh didn't let me here anything. He was singing and dancing telling that he was right. By the time, I had shouted shut up, the voice had gone. I stamped my foot and thought what to do. That moment a piece of paper fell on the floor. It was, again, ancient script. I told Josh that I was going to an archaeologist to find out was written on the paper. He told me even he wanted to come. So, I took him to the archaeologist with me.
We found a very good archaeologist, but his fees was high. Thank God, I had my pocket money. His fees was high that I had to give all my pocket money. He took the paper, saw through it and asked us, " Aren't you both small to be going around with this paper? This paper is way too important."
Josh said, "What is so important in this paper? Its just a paper with something written on it." I nudged Josh to keep quiet because the archaeologist was getting annoyed and I didn't want to waste my pocket money. I told Josh, "Let him speak - and then to the archaeologist, "Sir, what's your name?"
"Rob."
"So, Mr. Rob can you please tell us what is written on this paper?" He didn't reply. He just kept on looking at the paper.
After half an hour he spoke. I told Josh to keep his pen and paper ready. When Rob spoke, he said this, "This paper should be with the family of the Rais'. I really don't know what are you doing with this paper."
When he said this, I immediately looked towards Josh. I call myself Rocky but my real name is Rima Rai. Josh calls himself Josh but his real name is Aryan Rai.
We both said together, "I am a Rai."
"What is your name?" Rob asked Josh.
"Josh."
I say, "His real name is Aryan Rai." Rob stares at Josh. He asks, "What? I am sure this is not my family. Its hers."
Rob asks me y name. I tell, "Rocky." At this Rob looks confused.
"Are you a guy or a girl?"
"A girl."
"Then why do you have a guy's name?"
"Because I don't like being a girl." Rob is about to say something, but Josh interrupts him and tells, "Her real name is Rima Rai.." At this, Rob looks shocked. He stares at both of us. We both ask him, "What?"
"You both are family." We both look at each other and say together, "Impossible."
"Why?"
I said, "Because we have no relations."
"I don't think your family have told you about their relation."
Josh said, "When we have no relation what will they tell." Rob again looked at the sheet of paper and said, "You both are siblings. Twins. Rima you are old by thirty seconds."
I never answer if anyone calls me Rima. I like the name Rocky better. I got this name when some guys mistook me for a guy and called me Rocky. I liked that name and took it.
Josh answered, "Why did she had to be old?! Why can't I be old?"
I told, "Shut up!"
Rob now says, "You both Rais' have to go around the world and get these unusual things. Not things which are popular in the country. Things which you will not find anywhere. You are suppose to go to the mentioned countries -
I said, "Oh! no! From where would we get the money?"
Josh said, "You care about the money? What will we tell our parents when they return? That we had gone to save the world?"
At this, Rob said, "Not save the world, but save yourself."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that there are these aliens who are going to come and kill you both."
"Why?"
"Because you both, in your past life, killed all of them when they landed on earth."
"So, why will they give us a way to escape?"
"They are not giving you a way to escape, but the Gods are."
"How?"
"They always do. Its like a test."
"Why couldn't anyone else take the test? Why only me?" Josh complained.
I told, "Be happy. You are getting a chance to go on an adventure."
"I don't want to go on an adventure."
"You have very different thinking from the boys."
"Are you saying that I am a girl?"
"Indirectly."
"You -
"Now stop fighting you both!" said Rob and we both fell quiet. He continued, "The countries are Paris, Tokyo, Holland, Florida, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, California, Melbourne, Sydney Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Singapore."
We both said together, "What? It will take a lot of money and will it take at least one year to find these unusual things."
"And you need to go with a celebrity and an archaeologist." We both heaved a sigh of relief on hearing this. We both thought that the celebrity will pay for us.
"Which celebrity should we take and which archaeologist?"
"Relax. I know a celebrity and take me with you."
"Yes. That is a good idea. But, which celebrity do you know?"
"The great Shah Jahan Khan!"
"Who is that?"
"The great beggar!"
"He is not a celebrity."
"Fine. Then who?"
"What about, Aamir Khan?"
"Who is going to call him? No." said Josh.
"Then you only tell who."
"Fine. Selena Gomez."
"No. We need an Indian so that we can go with him from the first and he does not need to waste a penny."
"Fine. What about... Shaan?"
"No. He does not sing many songs now a days and he does not get money."
"Dude he does need money that is why he does not sing songs."
"Fine."
Now Rob said, "OK. Decided. I'll call his manager."
"Now?"
"Yes." He calls the manager and said, to us that we had to go tomorrow sharp at ten o' clock at Lido Mall over lunch. That was OK with us. So, it was Josh, Rob, Shaan and me going to save Josh and my lives.
The next day, I was at Lido Mall at nine o' clock. I feared that if I was late, we will not be able to take Shaan with us. For one hour, I went window shopping everywhere. I don't think there wasn't a place I didn't see. At ten o' clock sharp I went to the best restaurant in the Mall and sat there waiting. Soon, I saw Rob and Josh coming by. I called them to my place and we sat talking there.
After, fifteen minutes, Shaan came and we started talking about all this. He agreed to our request and told that we didnt need to pay him back. He would only pay for all the expenses on the world tour. Josh and I heaved a sigh of relief thinking that we didnt need to tell our paarents anything about it.
Soon all four of us will be going on a world tour to save the lives of two teenagers. This would, surely, be an unique world tour.
